The lobster fishery is winding down and closes towards the end of the month. Fishers are already bringing in their gear.
This fishery is dismal and fishers can't understand why DFO won't close it for a few years. This year's season closed this week.
The snow crab fishery is dismal in the 4R outside 8 miles zone. The fishery in 4R St. George's Bay is very healthy as stocks are very good. This fishery is ongoing until August 15. was held on January 28, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at the Town Hall in De Grau. will be held this fall at the harbour office at De Grau.
